It's springtime and that means wedding season. For some, it also means anniversaries. I've had the privilege of photographing Josh & Meghan now for the last 5 years and I always look forward to it. This year they are celebrating their third year of marriage and also the arrival of a new baby in the fall. We went to the Manassas National Battlefield Park for pictures and had quite the time with some crazy weather. We had about 25 minutes with nice sunshine and clouds before the storm that was predicted had arrived. We took shelter at the visitors center and waited out the rain, hoping we wouldn't have to relocate to somewhere drier. After waiting for about half an hour we were able to finish the session with the background of the majestic clouds overhead from the passing storm. Congratulations on the new baby Clayton family. I can't wait to meet him/her.
Isle of Hope is a beautiful place for pictures in the low country. The spanish moss hanging from the live oak trees, beautiful Southern homes and the coastal marsh make for a great location along Bluff Dr. I experimented some with double exposures and also challenged myself to only use 1 roll of film which is limited to only 16 frames. I shot this in April on my Contax 645 using Kodak Portra 160 film.
